DAP mendengar suara hati rakyat Sabah

Kenapa rakyat miskin tapi pemimpin begitu kaya? Kenapa?” soalnya tegas.

Turut hadir memberi ucapan sebelum sesi pendengaran awam bermula ialah beberapa pimpinan DAP negeri Sabah, Ahli Parlimen Kota Kinabalu Dr. Hiew King Cheu, Pesuruhjaya PAS Sabah Aminuddin Aling, Dr. Chong Eng Leong mewakili PKR negeri Sabah dan mantan Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Sabah tahun 1988 hingga 1993 Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Simon Sipaun. – Roketkini.com

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said public confidence in the Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership at the federal and state levels is growing because the coalition fulfills its pledges according to its capability.

He said the people realised that the BN was not a government that liked to play politics that was populist in nature nor made promises that were unrealistic.

BN are capable of doing what has been promised, thus will implement them as the government.

He said the promises were proven through the various aid given to the people such as the 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M), the existence of the 1Malaysia People’s Shop (KR1M) and the 1Malaysia People’s Menu, the granting of subsidies in the various sectors such as petrol subsidy.

In addition, Najib also hinted that he would announce a ‘windfall’ for the settler community soon as well as several other incentives for the people.

“The quantum I will not disclose yet, when the time comes I will make the announcement. Let there be a little suspense,” he said.

However, he said there were quarters that tried to deny the efforts of the government in helping the people.

ScottyDoesntKnow berkata...

He said the BN government constantly strived for the prosperity of the people and ‘did not know how to spin’.

ScottyDoesntKnow berkata...

“That is their (opposition’s) politics, always spinning, everything (that we do) is wrong. What we are doing for the people, they want to destroy,” he said.

He said that under the BN government since the country’s independence, a son of a fisherman had succeeded to become a menteri besar to lead a state.

Najib also expressed his commitment to continue to work hard as the prime minister for the sake of the people.

“I have told my wife that my days are getting longer and my nights shorter. But it is alright for the sake of the people,” he added.

Who could blame him if he actually wants to hop into any component party in BN. Umno Information chief Ahmad Mazlan is confident that Barisan Nasional (BN) will continue to be in power after the 13th General Election.

Ahmad Mazlan, who is also deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department, rejected the notion that BN would be toppled in the coming general election, based on feedback received.

"We are not theorising in an air-conditioned room. We actually meet the people and clearly the people are very happy with the government policies.

"The people get subsidies, get financial aid, jobs, houses and live in peace. There is no reason why the people want to change the government," he told reporters after a function.

ScottyDoesntKnow berkata...

He also rejected rumours that the people's representatives, especially among Sabah BN leaders, would be jumping ship, due to the increasingly shaky position of BN."It Is absurd thinking.

ScottyDoesntKnow berkata...

The opposition only knows how to play on sentiments. They use psychological warfare, purportedly they can rule Malaysia.

ScottyDoesntKnow berkata...

But clearly they are lying and their leaders only know how to blow empty promises," he added.

Maintenance of racial unity is one of the promises to the people that the Barisan Nasional government has fulfilled, besides ensuring development and economic stability, Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said.

ScottyDoesntKnow berkata...

He said the policies implemented by the government had successfully fostered and strengthened unity among the people of the various races and religions.

ScottyDoesntKnow berkata...

"Cooperation and unity have been in place for more than 55 years, most successfully," he said in his address at a gathering in conjunction with the "Promises Fulfilled Tour" programme, here. He said the cooperation and unity among the people of differing backgrounds in the economic, political and cultural sectors had made Malaysia a model for other countries.

"It is our promise to the people, to the Malays, Chinese, Indians, Iban, Kadazan, Dusun and so on .... Our government has to create a situation conducive for good relations among the people.
